The third edition of The ContentHub is being put together by Indiantelevision.com to create a platform for the vibrant creators of content on digital, television, and short form content.

The explosion in content outlets has led to a surge in demand for content and various models are being resorted to for creation of content. A new breed of producers is optioning international formats, co-producing internationally, investing in pilots, asking for full rights to their content to partial rights to sharing of rights. And the content outlets are listening and signing deals.

Another breed of deep pocketed producer has emerged which is functioning as a studio and commissioning other producers to create content which it is then aggregating and licensing to content platforms. Other producers are investing in smaller studios and forging partnerships for growth. Even large production houses are attracting investments from larger companies and ceding control. Foreign format companies have set up shop here; international producers have ceded majority control to Indian partners.

Clearly, the demand for content is creating opportunities and the production sector has never been as buzzing with activity as it is currently.
