Her feature film debut came after directing some of the most successful television shows in the youth space. Hip Hip Hurray the coming-of-age dramedy series about a bunch of kids in their last year of high school was the first independent work that she created, wrote (story & screenplay) and directed (Season 1, 80 episodes). Produced by UTV and telecast on Zee Tv, Hip Hip Hurray became a runaway smash hit that regularly shows up in several 'best tv shows' lists. It is currently streaming on ZEE 5. The popular mini- series Mahi Way telecast on Sony Ent. (25 episodes) that Nupur directed was a slice of life dramedy about an overweight girl who struggles with life and love and finally learns to accept herself. Produced by Yashraj Television, it was nominated in several categories for writing, acting, directing, editing at the ITA and Indian Telly awards and won some as well. It streamed on Netflix for a couple of years and is now currently streaming on Sony Liv. Hubahu (30 episodes, Sony Ent.) a drama series about twin sisters exchanging lives set in Bangkok and Mumbai received critical acclaim and Time Bomb (Zee Tv, Co Directed 24 episodes with veteran Ketan Mehta) an action adventure extravaganza was also nominated for several awards including a Best Director nomination for her at The Indian Telly awards. Her debut feature film was the hugely popular teen movie Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge produced by Y Films the youth arm of Yashraj Films. A romantic comedy, MFK delved into the obsession of college students with social media and their struggle for identity while caught between the virtual and the real world. The film received a few nominations at the Screen awards and she was nominated for Best Debut Director that year. It was screened and nominated for writing awards at the New York Indian Film Festival; and the Melbourne Indian Film Festival. Her 2nd feature film Bewakoofiyaan starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rishi Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor was a quirky dramedy dealing with an urban relationship that falls prey to an overtly consumerist lifestyle, ambition, money and the lack of it. It was produced by Yashraj Films and screened at the Melbourne Indian Film Festival. Both films are currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Nupur directed a 10 part web series Romil and Jugal produced by Ekta Kapoor for ALTBalaji. It was an intriguing adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet with two boys playing the lead romantic pair. This quirky portrayal of the timeless classic was hailed by the LGBTQ community for normalising same-sex love, it was nominated for Best Series and Best Director at the ITA awards.

Nupur then directed the 10 part Season 2 of Amazon Prime's series Four More Shots Please that garnered a phenomenal response from both critics and audiences. It delves into the lives of four women friends in ultra urban South Mumbai by exploring their struggles and challenges and is a celebration of female friendship. She is currently working on the screenplay for her next feature & developing a series for a leading OTT platform.

Prior to Reliance, Rajiv was the CMO of Intex Technologies, where he envisioned the Go-To-Market strategy across its product verticals i.e. Mobile Phones, TVs, ACs, Washing Machines and Accessories achieving "a unit sale every second"

Mr. Khan has over 20-years' experience in M&E and has created content across platforms including films, television and digital, leading to expertise in the art of storytelling and entertainment. At Juggernaut Productions, he is responsible for designing and successfully implementing business strategies, plans and procedures, along with creating enviable content for OTT partners. After a long stint as a broadcast journalist with leading television networks including NDTV, India Today, Star News, Samar moved into filmmaking exploring writing, direction and production opportunities.

Samar holds a Post Graduate degree in Television Journalism from University of Cardiff in Wales, United Kingdom.

Saurav Dey, an alumnus of FTII (Film Direction) is a screenwriter, director and creative producer.

Saurav co-wrote Amazon Prime's first show in India 'Inside Edge' (2017) - the first Indian show to be nominated for the International Emmy Awards in the 'Best Drama' category and 'Inside Edge2' (2019) and was involved in the entire process of both the seasons - from the inception to the shoot to the final product. Following up on the success of Inside Edge and Inside Edge2, Saurav co-wrote the screenplay (and additional dialogues) for 'Scam 1992' (2020) - India's highest rated and most voted OTT show on IMDB; also IMDB's 18th highest rated show in its 'Top 250 highest rated TV Shows'. Recently, Saurav has completed writing 'Saas, Bahu and Cocaine' as the lead writer; a series to be directed by Homi Adajania, produced by Maddock Films.

In terms of feature-length screenplays, Saurav is amongst the very few people in India to have his screenplays selected for two prestigious labs. His speculative fiction screenplay 'VHS' was selected for the Mumbai Mantra CineRise Screenwriting Programme in 2016, whereas his black comedy 'Destination Tihar' was part of the NFDC Screenwriters' Studio' in Filmbazaar 2017. 'Destination Tihar' also got selected for the 2nd round of the 2018 Sundance Screenwriters Lab.

Saurav is an alumnus of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), India's premier film school. While at FTII, Saurav had won the prestigious IDPA (Indian Documentary Producers' Association) award for his student documentary 'Chasing Angelina Jolie' (2008) while at FTII. Later, he directed a TV series - 'India Investigates' for Fox History, with his episodes clocking some of the highest TRP points for the channel.

SHUBHRA SWARUP grew up in small town Maharashtra though her family hails from the North of India. She did her under graduate at St. Xaviers College Mumbai with a major in English Literature. She went on to do a Master's in English Literature from Mumbai University with papers in Indian Aesthetics and Philosophy.

In 2000 Shubhra made her way to the United States for a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, choosing sunny California over New York. She studied in the irreverent and experimental air of California Institute of the Arts. She found herself taking Screen Writing as seriously as her fiction. At that time she produced her then boyfriend and now husband Heeraz Marfatia's short film 'Birju'. The short film premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2002. Shubhra the Writer was rather amused with her role as Shubhra the Producer. That small film was to take Heeraz and Shubhra on quite a ride. It went on to become a finalist for the students Oscar and showed in over 50 film festivals, won at Berlinale.

Shubhra had co-written a feature film with Heeraz which went on to become a finalist at the Sundance Feature Film Programme, Park City, Utah. And it was at around this time that the filmmaker Shekhar Kapur entered their lives. Shekhar always supportive of young writers and filmmakers took on Shubhra as his Writing Associate. Which meant that Shubhra would get a carton full of scripts from CAA, to read, give coverage, recommend and analyse. She was thrilled to read scripts for some of the most talked about Projects in the world.

Shubhra was settling into her life in the West; loving her time in Los Angeles, her Literary agent was in London; her Permanent Residence of Canada had come through but she felt an undeniable pull for her homeland, India. India is her muse. She valued the craft and discipline she had picked up while doing her Master's in the States but was keen to use that to shape stories with an Indian heart. Shubhra got back to Mumbai with a dream which led to the creation of Writers Cut. The idea behind Writers Cut is to create, shape, fix - content and stories. The focus at Writers Cut is on Writing and not the Writers per se.

Shubhra carries both sensibilities, an Eastern and Western one, with ease. Sometimes that can feel like a handicap, a sense of being out of place in both the sides of the world, but in the world of storytelling, it's always felt like a strength. It was certainly helpful while working on feature films with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and Mansoor Khan and writing a franchise film for Namit Malhotra of Double Negative & Prime Focus International.

The explosion that is the world of the Series is a game changer for all Writers. Shubhra and Heeraz found themselves handpicked to write "The Forgotten Army" directed by Kabir Khan for Amazon Prime. Since then, through Writers Cut, Shubhra has developed an eclectic slate of Series as Creator & Creative Producer for premier Production Company's & Platforms. Writers Cut is now co- producing series & feature films alike.

Sumit Purohit is a filmmaker, writer, editor and a visual artist. Born in the hill town of Srinagar Garhwal (Uttarakhand, INDIA), Sumit graduated in Art History and Aesthetics from the Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU, Baroda.

Sumit's directorial debut was with an experimental short documentary was 'I Woke Up One Morning & Found Myself Famous', which was widely screened in film festivals across the country. As a self-taught editor, Sumit also dabbled as a trailer/promo editor, working on various award-winning films.

Recently, he wrote and edited 'Scam 1992 : The Harshad Mehta Story', a 10-part series based on the book by journalists Sucheta Dalal and Debashis Basu. In addition, he was the co-writer on the Hindi Film 'Bangistan', a black comedy, and Amazon Prime Video's International Emmy nominated Indian original series 'Inside Edge'.

His debut feature documentary titled 'Charlie Champion' is in the last stage of completion.

Stutee Ghosh is an award winning Radio Jockey, journalist and film critic based in Delhi. She started off her radio career while she was still doing her Post Graduation in English Literature at Delhi University. Currently she reviews films and writes on cinema for The Quint where her reviews appear both in print and video format.
